| The unpainted hospital. |
Today's posting is of a Plasticville O-scale hospital I completed last year. After I had glued the pieces together I hit the whole thing with a textured spray paint. It leaves little bumps all over the model and ends up making it look more "beat-up" and worn out (at least to me).

I made an evacuation sign like the one in Left 4 Dead, "No Mercy", and printed it out . The green letters are just cut out painted foamcore.

| The crashed remains of the helicopter can be seen through the front door. All that grubby-looking texture came from the textured spray paint, otherwise this whole thing would've been smooth. |
Although you can't see it in these pictures, I have some blinking red, yellow and orange diodes inside that make the hospital look like it's on fire. It shows up good in real life, not so good in photos.

I added a little extra detail to the interior areas that you could see.
The hospital scales well with 28mm figures (height), but seems awful small as far as width and depth go. That's a compromise you have to make with O-scale structures. If this was really going to be as big as a hospital, scale-wise, it would take up the entire gaming table and then some. If it bothers you just think of it as an Outpatient Clinic. Enjoy!
